Digital Entertainer Elite; A Comprehensive Digital Media Stream (CES 2009)

The Digital Entertainer Elite has a few different viewing options, the primary function being a stream for internet video. You’ll be able to stream YouTube™, Internet radio, Flickr™ photos, RSS, and podcasts all to your HDTV.
This media device goes beyond internet streaming, as you can access files from your computer to view on the TV as well. It supports PC, Mac, and the Netgear proprietary device, network attached storage device (NAS). The biggest question about a media viewer is what formats will it support? The Digital Entertainer Elite supports a slew of different formats:
Video file formats: AVI, DivX, Xvid, WMV9, MOV, M4V, VOB, MPG, MP1, MP2, MP4, ISO, IFO, MKV (with AC3 only), TS, M2TS, PS
Audio formats: MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, FLAC, WMA-Pro, M4A, M4P, AC3, DTS Passthrough, PCM, LPCM, AIFF
Photo formats: JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF
Playlist formats: WPL, ASX, WAX, WVX, PLS, M3U, RMP
The device up-converts video quality to 1080p resolution, by way of HDMI. The Entertainer Elite has different port options, with USB, S-Video, Component, optical audio.
The media device comes with 500 GB built-in memory, but can be expanded to handle up to 2 TB of memory.
