Very rarely in the real world are burglars like what Hollywood depicts them as. There’s the super cool Ocean 11’s squad, and the Spike Lee’s hip and mysterious Inside Man. No, in real life most burglars consist of the story of Ryan Mueller. Who has to be one of the saddest criminals in history.

You’d think that if you’re going to burglarize a resident, or business then you try to maximize your profits. So that the reward is worth the risk that you’re taking. Mueller had a different idea, as $20 was sufficient enough for his break-in. So what is it that makes Mueller’s stupid theft shine above all the other dumb criminals?

The $20 that he stole was from a 2 year old’s piggy bank. The mother rushed into her daughter’s room to find Mueller trying to make off with the cash after tearing open the toddler’s piggy bank. The story has a good end, as Mueller will face six years in prison. If you ask me he deserves more.
