Happy Birthday Google

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a decade, but today is the 10 year anniversary of Google. All it took was a simple front page, and navigating sheep people to the correct sites. Now a days Google is involved in just about everything. Reason being is because they house all the destinations for places across the internet.

I mean it’s so simple. Instead of people having to randomly type in web addresses, why not do the searching for them? It almost brings a tear to the eye, that I didn’t think of it first. Of course Google wasn’t first, but they did become the most successful. All of it due to their infrastructure and simplicity. You go to Google’s home page today, and it looks nearly identical to what it did 10 years ago.

Now that Google is dominating the search market, they’re expanding. They have Gmail, Google Chrome, and the soon to be released Google Android. There’s a slew of other applications, but these are the newer and more popular ones.

So here’s to you Google, for your 10 year reign as the internet king. I’m going to give it about another 10 years before your complete rule of the entire world is complete.

Have your say
