Google Suggests To You, Will You Accept?
Google, they’re the standard of pretty much anything going on, on the internet. You could make the argument that they’re becoming the single most important company for the household as well. Of course that’s an argument for another time. Today we’re talking about Google’s brand spanking new feature, Google Suggest.
Actually the feature isn’t brand spanking new, as Google Suggest has been an optional feature for quite awhile. The Google Suggest feature started back in 2004, and it seems Google has been impressed. Starting today, Google Suggest will be a standard feature for Google’s search bar.
I’m not entirely sure what to make of the announcement. Google seems to make pretty sound decisions, and some of their screw ups always seem to be minor. For them to bring something that’s option-only into the “standard” world of Google is a big step. I’m willing to give it a shot, as I type so fast sometimes I spell things wrong. Then Google can be there to automatically correct my spelling.
What are your thoughts on Google Suggest? Are you willing to be open-minded? Or is your website a place that gets its hits from people’s spelling errors?
